Reflections from the 6th SDGs Training Programme

Seventeen university students share their reflections on the 6th SDGs Trainig Programme (“SDGs Global Human Resource Development Program that Connects Learning and Society through Environmental Issues”). 🌍

Selected through a nationwide open call, the participants came from diverse academic and national backgrounds. Over the course of the program, they visited three leading regions in Japan tackling environmental and SDGs challenges—Kamikatsu Town, Kitakyushu City, and Minamata City. Through these visits, they reflected on their learning and experiences from their own perspectives, and considered how they could apply these insights to future actions.

This program is supported by the FY2024 UNESCO Activity Grant from Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), with the aim of fostering the next generation of SDGs leaders.
